Blind Spots

In leadership theory you discuss the idea of examining blind spots.
It represents the notion of continuous growth and discovery.
Finding a blind spot, as a leader, is akin to unlocking a new kind of mylk for your coffee repertoire: an added flavour to explore.

The fundamental problem with blind spots is they are unavailable to you without outside intervention.
Discovering a blind spot is challenging enough; to even begin searching you have to undertake work that requires effort and energetic investment.
The hardest part of the process is not the discovery, it is committing cognitive resources towards exploring the unknown.

If you want to grow you must discover new perspectives.
If you want to discover new perspectives, you need to invite in ones that challenge you.
This act does not occur passively.
