Speed Bumps
Driving over one speed bump is unlikely to be substantially disruptive.
However, driving over 10 in a row will be.
Most teams worry more about the impact of one big speed bump rather than the constant disruption of many successive bumps.
As a leader you are accountable to look out for and navigate speed bumps.
Doing so effectively is as much about managing quantity as it is minimizing magnitude.
One little speed bump rarely causes alarm; but after 10 it is too late to get into action.
