Repetition

There might be the perfect course out there that will teach you everything you need to know exactly when you need to know it.
There could be just the right book with just the right message to give you just the right development at just the right time.
But probably not.

You tend to look at learning within a “find it, learn it, have it,” model.
Which makes sense, because this is what learning feels like.
Real learning is much less linear and includes a large period of “do it” combined with “do it wrong,” before “learn it” arrives.

The key to learning is not finding the perfect resource.
It is about committing to applying the learning correctly and incorrectly with sustainable repetition.
As a leader, instead of highlighting what to do differently, you might be better off letting someone just do it again.

When it comes to learning, repetition beats perfection.
