Relax

Relaxing is not a finite action, but a state of being.
Releasing a clenched fist is not relaxing, it is unclenching.
Relaxing goes beyond a single action; it is the union of a handful of actions, perspectives, and emotional shifts.

This is why telling someone to relax does not work.
If anything, it probably has the opposite effect.
Another person is not a fist to be unclenched.

Relaxation is an excellent metaphor for leadership.
As a leader, your job is not to pry apart the fist of your team.
It is to help them see what is necessary in order for them to do so themselves.
