Naïve Realism


Your decisions and perspective are impacted by naïve realism.
Naïve realism is your propensity to believe that you see the world objectively.
Without it you would become so mired in attempting to discern what is real that you would be incapacitated.


There is a secondary component to naïve realism.
When you see your perception as objective, your mind labels any differing perspective as uninformed.
The real brain twister: if you disagree or challenge any of this so far, are you proving the point?


Naive realism is an essential consideration for leaders.
Your job is to observe, analyze, and make decisions; all predicated on your assumption of an ability to see an objective reality.
