Leader
Important work requires a variety of contributions.
While you may not need a separate individual for each, you also need to have caution around collapsing roles.
As a leader, it can be tempting to get pulled into managing each detail.
Your brain unconsciously drives you to know more about the details.
Doing so creates the experience (illusion) of certainty and control.
While rewarding for you in the short-term, the details begin to supersede your contribution over time.
Define your contribution, then dive into the details accordingly.
Build in checks to challenge your unconscious detail machine.
Be a leader, not a project manager.
