Awareness

There are four key phases in generating lasting perspective taking and behaviour change.
Awareness, thoughtfulness, insight, and behaviours.
Week 1: awareness.

You have had the experience of learning something new, and then all of the sudden noticing it pop up everywhere.
This is the outcome of awareness.
In bolstering a neural pathway, your brain unconsciously becomes more attuned to stimuli that connect with it.

Neuroplasticity enables your mind to develop new, and unique, pathways for processing information.
In a simplified context, this means that you can process the same stimuli today in a different neural pathway than you did a year ago.
Creating awareness (and connecting it with a motivating factor) is critical in cultivating these pathways.

Awareness is an essential starting place for building new perspectives or habits.
Awareness enables new pathways of cognition for processing and making sense of your reality.
Awareness is active, like building a sand castle, rather than passive, like a surprise wave washing in.

Awareness is the gateway to thoughtfulness.
