Trust
How do you approach trust?
Perhaps you see it as something which is earned.
Or maybe it is a thing that is given.
Do you see trust as a binary measurement?
Either you trust someone or you do not.
Perhaps you consider trust to be more nuanced and contextual to the task or scenario.
You will not find a leader who successfully argues against the importance of trust.
You will find many leaders, however, who rarely discuss the nature and their approach to trust.
This creates a contradiction: that which is important goes undiscussed and under-analyzed.
Consider your team and most essential partners.
These would be the individuals with whom trust is paramount.
How are you actively measuring the health and mutual understanding of that trust?
