Sonar

There is no training manual for distinguishing sonar sounds.

You learn by repeatedly listening to objects until you get it right.

Eventually, you listen to enough bleeps and bloops to understand the sound of a rock.

Learning sonar is about more than the location of rocks, submarines, and dolphins.

It is a reminder that continuously listening is the best way to learn.

It is also testament that in order to do something, you do not first need to know how to do it.

Thoughtful leaders spend less time knowing how and more time listening.
