Constructs
You cannot experience a stimulus without unconsciously processing it through a variety of constructs.
These constructs shape the way you understand and relate to the stimulus.
They play a valuable role in enabling you to efficiently make sense of the world around you.
You can reflect and identify what some of those constructs might be afterwards.
Constructs that filter your perception include beliefs, values, past experiences, and feelings.
The important practice is to bring awareness and thoughtfulness around which constructs create your unique perspective.
The same stimulus, filtered by different constructs, creates different understandings of reality.
This is why the perspective of what is real for you and your team can be both different and accurate simultaneously.
When perspectives differ, identify and explore the constructs through which they are filtered.
