Wrong

When you bake muffins, you know as soon as they come out of the oven whether you got the recipe wrong.

In the very least, you will know when you eat one.

Likewise, you know when you get the recipe right.

What about when you do not get the recipe wrong, nor entirely right?

You may not know otherwise.

The subtle state of not-quite-wrong is the most dangerous.

You will throw out a batch of bad muffins.

You may keep making not-quite-wrong muffins for years.

The paradox is you spend your time worrying about getting things completely wrong.
